"Since comedies are rarely up for Oscars it does make sense to have a comedy category. It would just add more fun categories. They already expanded to ten nominees for best picture- So if that why not this? "

"There should only have been one".
“Now here’s the thing. The outrage I caused was of course, as usual, totally out of proportion to the things I said. I don’t think anyone had any right to be offended but they were. This year I’m going to make sure their offence is completely justified.”
”It was a tough decision to be honest. There were many pros and cons. I loved doing it, but I was worried that I couldn’t improve on last year…I knew some people would be uncomfortable with me being host. What actually tipped the balance and made me say yes, was the fact that it would shut up all those fucking idiots who said that I’d never be invited back. Is that the wrong reason to do something? Ha ha. I think it is.”
“The right actors win Oscars, but for the wrong roles.”
Katharine Hepburn
"I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. And yeah, I totally agree. The only point of doing a sequel is either the audience demands it or you believe you can better the first one. What we're setting out to do with this one -- the writers and the director and myself -- is improve. I think I can act fucking better, to be honest ... Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the 'net and give them a movie they fucking want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people."
Sam Worthington (sobre os erros de Clash of the Titans e a sua sequela)
Nice move! É raro...
"Oh God, she promised me categorically that there wouldn’t be another book involving Harry. I think 10 years is a long time to spend with one character.”
"The movies often seem to come from the recycling bin these days: Sequels, remakes, franchises. Inception does a difficult thing. It is wholly original, cut from new cloth, and yet structured with action movie basics so it feels like it makes more sense than (quite possibly) it does.
I thought there was a hole in Memento: How does a man with short-term memory loss remember he has short-term memory loss? Maybe there's a hole in Inception too, but I can't find it. Christopher Nolan reinvented Batman. This time he isn't reinventing anything. Yet few directors will attempt to recycle Inception. I think when Nolan left the labyrinth, he threw away the map."
“You’d get upset about all the scenes it's missing from the book, wouldn‘t you? (...) No point in reading the books because you’re playing with Steve Kloves' (argumentista) words.”
"I prefer to walk away with the experience as opposed to walking away with the product (...)
I've not seen the film, so I don't know what it looks like. I like to portray a character, inhabit a character and build character, but I don't want to watch the end result necessarily, because it becomes about money then and I'd rather not think about that. My children have seen more films of mine than I have. They've seen all of them within reason - many more than I have. I have no plans to see them - any of them."
“…goes beyond malevolence into the monstrous. Never before have a man and woman inflicted more pain upon each other in a movie. We looked in disbelief.” … “Whether this is a bad, good or great film is entirely beside the point. It is an audacious spit in the eye of society. It says we harbor an undreamed-of capacity for evil. It transforms a psychological treatment into torture undreamed of in the dungeons of history. (...) Von Trier is not so much making a film about violence as making a film to inflict violence upon us, perhaps as a salutary experience. It’s been reported that he suffered from depression during and after the film. You can tell. This is the most despairing film I’ve ever have seen.”
Antichrist)
(*) Wow. Que opinião interessante. Cada vez tenho mais curiosidade. O que nos reservará Antichrist realmente?
"I would like it if people say, 'You'll never make a good third movie.' I say, 'OK, let's make a third movie in that case, let's prove them wrong. But that's just me. The fact is, I have to! I've signed up! Chris doesn't. So I'm in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn't want to!"
